School portraits are a unique opportunity to capture your child’s image and personality yearly. We are able to offer every parent the chance to order prints of your child’s photograph, in multiple formats, giving you the flexibility to print the photos you want to enjoy for years to come. We pride ourselves on the rapport and respect your children will receive in the few moments we see them every year.
Tips for your child’s picture day:
1. Outfit. Solid colors or small prints work best for picture day. Choose colors that will compliment your child’s skin tone. Big/loud prints, logos, and words or phrases should be avoided because they distract from the true subject of the photo, your child! Make sure to choose both a top and bottom for your outfit, as you can never be sure how much will show in the finished photo.
2. Hair. Elaborate hairstyles could spell disaster the morning of school pictures – we suggest a hairstyle your child would wear on a typical day. If at all possible try to schedule haircuts for a few weeks in advance, if you are unhappy with the cut, you’ll have a few weeks to grow out the hair or learn to style around it.
3. Lunch. Unless you know your child’s pictures will be taken first thing in the morning –avoid packing a lunch with that will be messy or drip sauce.
4. Attitude. Encourage your children to cooperate with the photographer and enjoy the experience. Genuine compliments and compromise on an acceptable outfit for the day will help them feel comfortable in their own skin.
